In 1994 a company who sold a dispensing system used to flavor vanilla ice cream asked TL Industries’ Engineering Group to look at their current product, that was designed by somebody else, and re-design it to eliminate the problems with current design.

The main problem with the current design was that whenever an operator selected a flavoring and dispensed it, they always got the prior flavor dispensed first because that flavor was left in the lines from when it was dispensed.

TL Industries’ Engineering Group was able to re-design the current system to eliminate this problem and at the same time, they were able to reduce the costs by changing much of the design over to surface mount technology, which allowed for more machine assembly and less human labor.
