Louise Bush's Devotionals     Keys to Harmonious Living I Find Wisdom Proverbs 3:13-17 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, And the man that getteth understanding. For the gaining of it is better than the gaining of silver, And the profit thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: And none of the things thou canst desire are to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; In her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, And all her paths are peace. These verses reminds us that only by embracing God's wisdom can we live in God's peace. It begins with a personal relationship with Jesus. I believe true wisdom promotes health, and well-being. II Honor God, The Peacemaker Isaiah 26:12 Jehovah, thou wilt ordain peace for us; for thou hast also wrought all our works for us. Have you recognized the hand of God the Peacemaker in your life? Are you living in His peace as a result? III Enjoy the Results of Righteousness Isaiah 32: 17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness, quietness and confidence for ever. IV Be a Peacemaker Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called sons of God. A Peacemaker who is a Christian will work toward biblical reconciliation with people in diverse situations. Jesus declared these people "blessed" because they are recognized by the world as belonging to Him. Peacemakers live in peace and practice God's peace; the two go hand in hand. V Do Not Be Afraid John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. Unlike the temporal peace the world offers, Jesus' peace so claims our soul that it surpasses human understanding. What do you fear today?
