Who Are We?
We are the folks that work in the trenches of the ski industry. We work long days in order to get fresh shots and free passes. Avi Gear
Let’s face it, if you ski out of bounds or tour in the remote, you need to have this stuff. Once you get it learn how to use it. Teach your friends and be smart. Life is too short and there is way too much good powder out there for you to be missing it. These tools are essential for safe travel and rescue if it should ever hit the fan.
Backcountry Gear
The call of the wild. Some of you are starting to see the light. The light is beyond the ropes and valleys away from the chair, get out there and see what the glory is all about. Beanies
The only good head is a warm head. Keep your head protected from the elements. If it is blowing side ways or the sun is hamering down on you, you need to have good headwear. I never leave home with out a visor, good for the up track or boot pack and vital in the bar.

If you choose to huck your meat off everything you see, you should invest in body armor. Whether you enter comps or just like to play hard these pads will keep your hips inline and hematomas to managable level.

When it’s blowing hard and the vis is low these goggles will help you see the light and crank the turns to stick the line.

It does not replace a compass or common sense but a GPS can be your best friend when the ceiling drops and you can’t see your hand in front of your face.

In the Pacific Northwest the weather can change in the mountains fast. Having a solid base layer will regulate your heat and keep your skin dry. Keep the engine warm and remember cotton kills.
Socks
Next to your boot liners sock are key in having comfortable, dry feet during cold powder sessions. The last thing you should worry about is cold damp feet when it is on like Donkey Kong on the slopes. A good pair of ski socks will keep you charging hard and you can even use them as dress socks in the evening. No one will ever know except you.
Watches
Don’t miss first chair because you lost track of time. Keep track of your vertical or see how hard you heart is beating when cranking a four thousand vertical.
Two-way Radios
Reach out and touch someone. Strap one to your kid or run your own covert opps on when the gates are going to open in to the backcountry with your buddies. If you get lost heck call for help. Someone out there is listening.
