Free hand applique' pattern tips. Many unique award winning applique' patterns for quilts and wall hangings, suitable for hand and machine applique.
Artfully Applique' offers applique' quilt patterns suitable for hand or machine applique'. All of the pattern samples shown are done with traditional needle turn. Some of the kit samples are done with a fusible product, and only because I prefer not to spend all my time making lots of samples of the same design just because the fabric becomes unavailable! All of the patterns are my original designs.
It is my desire that you find as much joy in completing applique' quilts as I found in creating applique' patterns for you. I know how precious the gift of time is and how much satisfaction comes from using that time to create beautiful applique' quilts. I strive to give you applique' quilting designs, which are worthy of your craftmanship. Quality is very important to me and your satisfaction is my top priority. If you ever find any reason to be dissatisfied with any of my products, have suggestions or need advice about completing your applique' quilting project, please write to me.

Make it a gift!!
Would you like to give a special friend something from here? Just let me know and I will giftwrap it for you. Tell me where to ship it - back to you or directly to them. Just use the comment option to let me know.
Shipping cost update - I have finally done the conversion within the program, so now everything is in ounces. All that means to you is that my prices are consistent with the post office. So, they start at $1.00. Also, at 12 oz - I will use the priority flat rate, which is currently $4.80.
Special of the Month I should know better than to promise to do something on a monthly (or any regular) basis! Life seems to be moving way to fast for that. SO - the 'current' discount is 15% - till??? ^_^
A New Series It is called "In a Word" and, thus, each design will have a one-word name. Here are the first three. The link below will take you to the pattern page. There are also kits, and those can be found using the browser menu to the (upper) right.

I will no longer be taking the pieced patterns to shows, but they are still available here - at a reduced price. You can see them by clicking the following link.

All The News That's Fit To Print
Hey, it's still early in the month and I'm updating already - yea! ^_^
The new class in Drytown is going well. I had some concerns at the beginning, now I feel ok about it. One nice thing about it, if it sounds interesting to you, you can still join in. Because folks don't need as much help after the first session, I feel confident I can give extra time to anyone just beginning. So, your first session would be $35 and then it's $20 per class after that - both prices include the kit. I'm keeping the whole thing very flexible - you can choose which blocks you want to do by just skipping the classes. You can also purchase the kit for $5 if you want to just do it on your own - or if you will be unable to attend that class and still want to stay with everyone else. etc. There are currently 7 patterns available and one in process. I will leave it to the class members how many months/blocks we actually do. Sound like fun? Come join us in Drytown at The Old General Store - and you'll love Roseanne, by the way. ^_^
If you've seen me lately, you know I have changed the look of the booth. I now have black drapes - very dramatic - makes the applique just 'pop'! I've also built a new rack for the patterns - saves a lot of time for setup and take down. And just recently I built a second rack - a 2-panel 'folding screen' style that holds all the mini's - patterns and kits. I haven't done a show with it yet, so don't even know if it will be 'ok' in the booth - as in, not take up too much space. And I won't be able to try it out till I get to Walla Walla!! And then it's on to Portland! Will have to just go with it at those shows - no matter what. The next local show will be PIQF and given the reduced booth size it could be a challenge to make both of those racks work. I mean, I think there does still have to be room for customers to actually walk around inside the booth - right? I guess you could just stand in the aisle and point at what you want. ^_^ We shall see.
{There was a fused sample here before, so I am leaving the rest of the words that tell you about the fusing tips on the blog.} If you click on the link at the top of this page, it will take you to a 'tip' blog. Then, if you want, search within the applique blogs and click on "Fusing 101". (You just have to scroll down the page a little ways to find it.) No, not something you would do/use for hand applique. I only use it in order to be able to do lots of different kits without having to do a gazillion (hand) samples. It's all I can do to keep up with the ones for the new designs sometimes.
Oh, and there is also a blog about how to do skinny stems, my way. You might like that one, too. ^_^
Here's the picture for that new design - Crocus Cuties.
