Oxygen Enriched Air for Police and Public Safety Divers
(This is NOT a Recreational Diving Course)

On operational dives, effective bottom time is everything.
It is a proven fact that by simply adding a bit of oxygen to a divers air supply,
we can more than triple the maximum bottom time allowed by the US Navy air diving tables
for most dives encountered by police and public safety divers "Professional Divers".

SPECIAL RESPONSE TEAMS TACTICAL DIVER

Oxygen Enriched Air for Police & Public Safety Divers
(This is NOT a Recreational Diving Course)

Police and Public Safety Divers must dive at times and in places that other divers, given the choice, would not. This by definition is no longer recreational diving.

Oxygen Enriched Air, commonly called "NITROX", is the breathing gas of choice for operational dives to 110fsw/33msw.

Many jurisdictions consider police and public safety divers, "Professional Divers". As such, these divers require Commercial Diver Training. Recreational diving courses do not fulfill the requirements for professional divers. The basis for this oxygen enriched air course was originally developed for Commercial SCUBA Divers. It is designed for maximum diver safety and benefit.

Course conduct covers both the physiological impact of diving oxygen enriched air and the operational considerations.

Physiologically, the benefit of breathing oxygen enriched air is proven for divers in extreme conditions. We will see why using oxygen enriched air for extended duration and repetitive dives is beneficial, and subsequently, why air is the least desirable breathing gas under the same circumstances.

Operationally what makes this course unique is the exclusive EnviroDiveTable "Oxygen Enriched Air Table". During a high stress diving operation, the last thing a diver/supervisor needs, is to have to remember the six oxygen enriched air formulas, especially if it has been awhile since he/she has used them. With the "EnviroDiveTable", a quick glance will give all of the information that is required for safe diving operations. "Simple Works"
