Measuring 18 1/2"H x 12"W x 12"D. "He" is made of cast bronze and rests upon a base of cast aluminum. The Sphere is composed of elements made of copper, brass, aluminum and steel. The image of Atlas, who holds the heavens in the form of the armillary sphere, was taken from a page in the German astronomer, Johannes Schoner's book and was carved by Michael Brunelle.
