These "T-Shirts that Teach" come in 17 original designs and allow you to easily identify arrowheads, projectile points, and ancient artifacts wherever you go. Many of our designs have over 100 arrowheads and projectile points that were historically hand-crafted by native North Americans hundreds and thousands of years ago!

About the Artist and His Art

Our original, authentic Arrowhead T-Shirts have extremely accurate details and are great for field identification of artifacts. The designs for our Arrowhead Tee Shirts have been carefully planned and illustrated by Master Artist George Weymouth. George has been an avid artist for more than 30 years. His Artifact T Shirt designs are very detailed to match the scale, flaking techniques, and materials found in the original, historically created artifacts.

George has been successful in creating these designs because he has also mastered the art of flintknapping; the process of chipping and flaking projectile points and artifacts from stone. Through years of studying native North American cultures and their technologies, George has gained a solid, fundamental understanding of flintknapping and the different uses of the various projectile points and artifacts illustrated in his designs.

For example, his authentic Paleo Projectile Point Tee Shirt design remains true to form, detail, and scale and is therefore very valuable for point-type identification. The Paleo Projectile Point T Shirt design includes the historically older, larger Clovis projectile points used to take down Mastodon and Wooly Mammoth to the later, smaller Dalton and Hardaway projectile points used for deer and bison. This Artifact T-Shirt design shows the amazing artistic achievements of the ancient Paleo flintknappers!

Projectile Points: Materials and Methods of Flintknapping

Because George has mastered flintknapping, he is familiar with the way that chert and flint fracture when struck by percussion tools or pressure flaked. The resulting conchoidal fractures have a certain shape and texture that George has accurately reproduced in his detailed artwork. George’s intimate knowledge of flintknapping has allowed him to capture in his artistic images, projectile points and artifacts with photographic quality. This is an important reason that his Artifact Tee Shirt designs appear so realistic and true to life.

George is also very knowledgeable about the different kinds of materials available to the native North Americans depending on the regions that they occupied. For example, a material used by native North American flintknappers in Florida is agatized coral. In George’s illustrations of certain Florida projectile points, you can actually see the coral polyps and their honeycomb structure. Agatized coral is one of the most beautiful materials used by
flintknappers and due to its glasslike nature, it has excellent flaking properties. These qualities of agatized coral result in the more uniform, controlled conchoidal fractures necessary for knapping extraordinary projectile points.

About the Founders of this Artifact Tee Shirt Business

George and his wife, Eloise, have been selling Arrowhead T-Shirts with his designs for about 10 years. Eloise has even contributed a design of her own, a compilation of beautiful gorgets which is titled “Mysteries of the Mississippians.” She is also responsible for creating the lettering, font, and labeling of the artifacts and title for each design.

We have recently acquired these designs from George and Eloise and are marketing them through the Internet so they will be available to a larger audience. We hope that the convenience of purchasing these unique Arrowhead T Shirts through the Internet will also help in getting them to those who appreciate great art at reasonable prices.

Information About T-Shirt Sizes, Materials, and Inks

We use only heavy duty, name brand T-Shirts as “canvases” for our artifact art designs. These quality T Shirts are woven from at least 98% pre-shrunk cotton and will last for many years. They are durable, comfortable, and available in adult sizes ranging from Small to 3X Large. Our Tee Shirts are printed by professionals who use the silkscreen process and durable plastisol inks. As a result, our designs remain in good condition even after multiple washings over many years.

We have T-Shirts that we bought from George over 8 years ago and that we still wear today! The designs are still detailed with legible labeling after many washings and wearings. Our experience has been that the Tee Shirts tend to wear out before the design does! Almost all of our designs are printed on natural colored T Shirts, a pale cream color that makes a great background for
both our black ink and colored ink designs.

Our “Beauties in Stone” design is printed on olive green T-Shirts with black ink while our “Mysteries of the Mississippians” design is printed on black Tee Shirts with white ink.

About Children's Artifact T-Shirts

We have the ability to print some of the designs in children’s sizes but do not plan to stock children’s Tee Shirts in our inventory at this time. We will consider printing special order batches of 20 or more per design of children’s T Shirts if there is a demand for them. Feel free to contact us and let us know what you are interested in and we will probably be able to accommodate your request. Please allow some extra time for processing special orders.
