When using June Tailor’s Quilter’s Fusible Batting, it is important to layer your quilt top, batting and back before beginning to fuse. To fuse all three layers of your quilt at once, set your iron on a wool setting with heavy steam. Simply press your quilt from the center to the outer edges. Make sure you keep your iron moving, pressing approximately 3-4 seconds in each area. Once you have covered the entire surface area of your quilt, allow the quilt to cool. You may then begin quilting by hand or machine.
To fuse one side at a time, we recommend layering your quilt top, batting and back before beginning to fuse. Your iron should be set on a wool setting; however, this time you will not use steam. You will press your quilt from the center to the outer edges. Keep your iron moving and press approximately 3-4 seconds in each area. Once you have covered the entire surface area of your quilt, allow the quilt to cool. You will then turn your quilt over and repeat the pressing process on the other side of your quilt. Once you have covered the entire surface area of the second side, allow the quilt to cool. You may then begin quilting by hand or machine.
