And here is the 4th in this series and the beginning of slightly more advanced practice pieces. The tulip blossom has several layers and the one leaf is turned over on the end. You use two different fabrics to give the effect of seeing both the top and bottom of the leaf. There are directions for doing those two pieces. This one is intended to be done after at least two of the first three designs (or some other experience) - not as your very first ever applique! ^_^
