Applique Patterns for Hand or Machine

Free hand applique' pattern tips. Many unique award winning applique' patterns for quilts and wall hangings, suitable for hand and machine applique.

Artfully Applique' offers applique' quilt patterns suitable for hand or machine applique'. All of the pattern samples shown are done with traditional needle turn. Some of the kit samples are done with a fusible product, and only because I prefer not to spend all my time making lots of samples of the same design just because the fabric becomes unavailable! All of the patterns are my original designs.
It is my desire that you find as much joy in completing these applique' quilts as I found in creating applique' patterns for you. I know how precious the gift of time is and how much satisfaction comes from using that time to create beautiful applique' quilts. I strive to give you applique' quilting designs, which are worthy of your craftmanship. Quality is very important to me and your satisfaction is my top priority. New Series!
Simpler flowers! Still with plenty of detail, but the blossoms are larger and overall the block is smaller with way fewer pieces than the Nearly Nouveau series! These designs have 8" circles and the block is 12", finished. These are the four designs. I have now put the wallhanging together, so they are all four available in one package for $26.00. The iris may still look difficult, but it isn't so bad. These are still intended for those with SOME experience, not a "first-time-ever" type project. ^_^ Believe it or not, they all have the same green fabric around them. My attention was on the flowers - just use your imagination. ^_^

Exciting news! It looks like my framed mini's will be available to purchase in the gift shop of the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Texiles! Here is a picture of the first one I am shipping. Looks like I'm gonna have lots to keep me busy in the next few
months. Now that's a very good thing! ^_^

All The News That's Fit To Print

Thought I would try something new and post something like a mini newsletter here on the home page. If I remember and I am at home, I will change it each week.

ok, back home again. The class was a success and my hosts were delightful. However - somehow I managed to forget the stupid camera. You'd have thought I would have just gotten up from here and picked it up and put it with the stuff to go. Not. I could have used the cellphone - didn't. The folks I stayed with have an incredible setting for their home. In amongst big old redwoods, plus - Ken is a grower of rhodedendruns! I mean, REALLY! Some of the plants (bushes!) had to be 10 feet tall and nearly as wide. Would love to be there in the Spring.
So, now I'm going to put a picture of the opportunity quilt here. I realized I have missed several opportunites to sell some tickets just by being 'silly' about it. I worked up my courage and kind of jokingly asked Nodja if she wanted to buy a ticket - just before I was leaving. She did - 6 for $5, in fact. And saidIi should have offered them at the class. Well, says I, I didn't have a picture, so figured there was not point! She thought they would have bought anyway - based on my other samples there. Really???? Anyway - this is not a good picture and was taken before the binding. And you can't see all the fabulous quilting - just have to trust me on that one. If you want a ticket (or 6) just send me an email at jrixman@yahoo.com
