Q: Why would I want a domain name?
A: If you are planning to do advertising off the Internet (i.e. printed
material) or would like a URL that is shorter or easier to remember, you may
want to have your own domain name.

at a later time?
A: Yes

Q: Will a domain name make me more successful on the Internet?
A: Probably not. The Internet is a point and click environment. Most of
your traffic will come from the your marketing campaign.

Q: What are the costs associated with a domain name?
A: Depending on where you register, the fees to purchase the domain name
can vary. The registration fee for a domain name with Network Solutions is $70.00.
This registration is for two years. After the two years, the registration can
be renewed every year there after for $35.00.
A one-time fee of $50.00 will cover the setup of the domain name. Monthly hosting
is $14.95. These fees are in addition to your maintenance and lease fees and
storefront certificate. Payment is required in advance to set up your domain.
Monthly payments are withdrawn from either your credit card or checking account.
The monthly hosting fee will not begin until your storefront is activated.
Your credit card will be billed on the 15th of each month. If using direct checking
withdrawal - please provide a voided check.
A discounted hosting rate is available. If you would like to pay one year in
advance, the yearly hosting fee is $150.00.
Please complete the Virtual Host Form for monthly withdrawals or yearly advance
payments. Yearly advance payments can also be made online in the Merchant Services
- Financial Services section of the mall.

Q: Why are there extra costs?
A: There is additional equipment, software and resources required to set
up, run and maintain a domain name.

Q: What about Email accounts?
A: With your hosting, you will receive 5 email aliases. An email aliases
is an email address that is forwarded to a specified email account.
We will set up any 5-email aliases (i.e. information@yourcompany.com) and have
them forwarded to the email account that you wish (i.e. yourcompany@serviceprovider.com).
Please include the desired aliases on the Domain Hosting Form.

Q: How do I know if the domain name I want is available?
A: Go to http://www.register.com/.

A: When registering a domain with Network Solutions you will need the correct
Domain Name Server (DNS) Information:

Q: What if I already have a domain name and I want to change the hosted
here?
- Go to networksolutions.com and click on "Make changes"
- Type in your existing domain name. Press enter.
- Click on the top "Beginner"
- Choose "Switch ISP's" from the menu.
- Type in your email address and the domain name. Press "Proceed"
- Type in the Primary and Secondary Name Server information listed above.
- You are the Administrative and Billing contact. Storesonline is the technical
contact. (NIC DA10336-OR)
- Fill in the appropriate information. Press Submit.
Only you or the administrative contact for your site has the right to request
a change. If another service provider hosts your site and they are the administrative
contact, you will need to contact networksolutions.com and change the administrative
contact to yourself.
Contact the current host provider and tell them you have requested a change
to the administrative contact. They will receive an confirmation by email
for the request for the change from networksolutions.com. They must reply
or the change will not take place.
- You will receive a verification of your request through email. You must
follow the instructions on the email and respond or the process will not take
place. Storesonline does not control this process and it can take up to four
weeks before the change is made.
- When you have received notification of the change, please contact your account
manager. If you have not been assigned an account manager - please contact
help@myquickresponse.com

Q: I have my domain name DNS changed to Storesonline, what do I do now?
A: You need to complete a Virtual Host & Debit Authorization Form. You should
have received this form with your Active Merchant Packet, however if you do
not have this form you can download it in .pdf or .doc file formats by clicking
the link below. You will need Acrobat Reader or Microsoft Word to be able to
open this document on your computer.
