Custom
Tours

specific interests, dates, and type of accommodation.
Travel
Arrangements
For
your convenience, on arrival & departure days, our specialized tour operators
offer one shuttle between the nearest train station or airport and their
tour's first hotel. Before finalizing your travel plans, please contact
us for details on the time of the shuttle. It is necessary to arrive in
Italy the day before the wine tour begins, in order to meet the morning
shuttle. In addition, we would be happy to provide suggestions for your pre-
or post-tour itinerary and accommodations.
Reservations
& Deposits
To
reserve a trip, e-mail or fax the reservation
form on this site (fax: 604-433-2369). Also see our Contact
Us page. We accept certified checks or credit
cards (Visa and Mastercard). You will subsequently receive a tour confirmation
package containing trip details, background articles, travel directions and
train schedule, and an assumption of risk form, which must be signed and
returned prior to the tour.
Single Supplement
Tour prices are based on
double accommodation. Single rooms can be booked for an additional fee (see
individual tour itineraries for pricing). Please note, single rooms in many
Italian hotels are smaller than doubles, so what you are paying for is the
privacy of your own room.
Cancellation & Refunds
Cancellations must be
received in writing 60 days prior to the date of departure. You will receive a
refund, less a USD$75/person cancellation fee. Between 59-45 days prior to the
start date, you may apply 40% of the tour price towards a future trip
departing within one year of the cancellation date. Cancellations made less
than 45 days before the start of the trip will result in the loss of all
monies received. No refunds will be made for a cancellation during the course
of the tour, nor for unused portions of the trip. No exceptions to our
cancellation policy are made, including weather or personal emergency.
Therefore, we strongly recommend travel insurance.
Trip Cancellations
Our tour operators reserve
the right to cancel a tour. In this unlikely situation, you would receive a
complete refund of the monies received. They will not assume any other
liability and is not responsible for any personal expenses as a result of a
tour cancellation, such as airline tickets or pre-paid hotel reservations.
Insurance
Trip cancellation and
health/accident insurance are recommended to prevent needless loss of money in
case of illness, accident, or other unanticipated occurrences. We/they do not
provide such insurance, nor do we/they assume responsibility or liability for
any loss or damage of personal effects or for any injury or loss during the
duration of the tour.
Responsibility
Clients should be in good
physical condition and are responsible for selecting a tour suitable to their
athletic ability. Suitable clothing, especially footgear is highly
recommended. Participants on non-active tours should still be prepared to do
some walking over uneven terrain (vineyard paths, cobblestone streets, etc.).
Clients are required to act in a responsible manner at all times, and to act
with respect towards other guests, the instructors, and the property. Our tour
operators reserve the discretionary right to decline to accept or to require
any individual to withdraw from any tour, or to limit the amount of wine any
participant may consume. Our tour operators are not responsible for the
actions of our contracted service providers.
Itinerary
Due to unforseen
circumstances, our tour operators may find it necessary to make adjustments in
the stated itinerary. Any changes will maintain the high standard of our
tours. Changes in accommodation will be replaced by a hotel of equal or
superior rating.
